Course Description:
As new and emerging technologies transform the landscape of education, the possibilities for virtual, blended, and in-person learning and discovery grow exponentially. Teaching today’s technologically savvy students requires you to have knowledge, strategies, and skills to create an effective and motivational learning environment through the integration of technologies for learning. It can also be how you enhance learning, improve motivation and engagement, increase accessibility, individualize instruction, and improve communication with parents and stakeholders.
Learning Outcomes:
The course will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for using technology to enhance your teaching and your students’ learning. More specifically, and in keeping with U.S. National Education Technology Standards and the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) recommended by the International Society for Technology in Education (Links to an external site.) (ISTE), by the end of the course you will better be able to:

This webinar will explore a terrific online resource that can help make this happen easily. Khan Academy provides a variety of free online, pre-made instructional materials that you can assign to students to do at home, leaving you more time for labs and group work in class. Participants will learn how to sign up for a Khan Academy account, how to sign students up for Khan Academy, how to monitor student progress, and how to understand student progress reports generated within Khan Academy. Although it is helpful to have seen the "Flipping Your Classroom - It's Easy with Khan Academy" webinar presented previously, it is not mandatory, as a brief review of the ways in which Khan Academy can be used in the classroom will also be included. |

However, there is even more potential in the ways Google Drive can be used with students. In face-to-face, blended, and online classes, Google Drive can be used for collaboration among students and with others outside the four walls of the classroom. As a face-to-face, blended, and online instructor, Nikki D Robertson has found that Google Drive allows her to easily incorporate interactive and collaborative learning experiences with students even if they are separated by distance and time. In addition, she will share examples of collaborative class and student projects that provide opportunities for student learning, creation, and feedback.
